WhoMadeWho, the acclaimed Danish indie-electronic trio, has made a significant return with their eagerly awaited 8th studio album, Kiss & Forget. Released on September 13th through their label, The Moment, this album features 13 tracks that masterfully fuse house, synthwave, disco, and pop. The album’s diverse sound is further enriched by contributions from notable collaborators like RY X, Blue Hawaii, Adriatique, and Kölsch, reflecting the band’s dynamic evolution while maintaining their youthful spirit. Following their previous album, UUUU in 2022, this release signifies a pivotal moment in their long and storied career.
Leading up to Kiss & Forget, the trio, comprising Tomas Høffding, Tomas Barfod, and Jeppe Kjellberg, engaged their fans by dropping a series of brilliant singles. Their debut single, “Children”, featured the enchanting sounds of the Vesterbros Ungdomsgård children’s choir, capturing immediate attention and earning the distinction of Pete Tong’s “Essential New Tune” on BBC Radio 1. Additional singles like “Love Will Save Me” featuring RY X, and “Kiss Me Hard” with Blue Hawaii, showcased the emotional depth and auditory diversity that characterize the album, building anticipation for its complete release.
As part of their album rollout, WhoMadeWho embarked on an ambitious world tour featuring breathtaking stage designs. Collaborating with renowned architecture firm BIG and visual artists like flora&faunavisions, the tour successfully captivated audiences in major cities such as New York, Paris, and Copenhagen. Their innovative approach ultimately garnered them the “Best Live Performer” award at the 2024 Beatport Awards, highlighting their significant influence in the electronic music scene.
