Critical Condition After Stabbing Incident at Revolver Nightclub in Melbourne

A 31-year-old man is currently in critical but stable condition following a stabbing at Revolver Nightclub in Melbourne, as confirmed by local authorities.

The assault occurred between 4 and 4:30 AM on Sunday in the club’s Revolver Upstairs section during a performance by the popular Australian duo Bag Raiders. As reported by the Daily Mail, the victim was attacked with a knife and a machete, prompting staff to use bar towels and tissues to try to control the bleeding while management halted the event.

The injured man was rushed to Alfred Hospital, where he is battling for his life. Current reports indicate he remains in critical but stable condition.

According to police statements, “The offenders fled the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement and were last seen heading along Macquarie Street.” Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the venue and surrounding areas to assist in identifying the attackers, believed to have used a knife and a machete during the incident.

The nightclub released a statement expressing their sorrow over the violent occurrence: “We are heartbroken by the violent incident that took place at Revolver Upstairs this morning. Our thoughts are with all of those affected by this terrible event.”

They further emphasized, “The safety of our artists, patrons, and staff has always been our highest priority. We have decided to close the venue while we navigate the initial stages of this situation.”

This incident is not isolated; another stabbing occurred in Melbourne earlier this month when six men were arrested following the stabbing of an 18-year-old at Love Machine, a club located nearby Revolver.
