Michael Bibi Surprises Ibiza with a Charity Set, Raising €56,021 for Cancer Support
Michael Bibi continues to demonstrate his commitment to philanthropy beyond his recent six-figure donation after One Life London. Last week, the acclaimed UK DJ and producer delighted club-goers with an impromptu performance at Beachouse Ibiza, generating an impressive €56,021 in door donations for the local cancer charity APAAC.
APAAC, which stands for Pitiusa Association for Cancer Support, is dedicated to raising funds that provide free therapy, social care, consultations, and physical therapy for cancer patients in Ibiza and Formentera. According to the organization’s impact report, hundreds of individuals benefitted from these vital services throughout 2023.
“I’ve always loved spontaneous shows in Ibiza,” Bibi stated. “There’s something truly special about the chaos and excitement they bring. This time, I wanted to harness that energy for a meaningful cause rather than just an after-party.”
“Performing at Beachouse for the first time, with the ocean so close and the vibrant crowd around me, reminded me why I fell in love with this scene — the sense of community and connection,” Bibi added. “Last night was one of those unforgettable moments that exemplified unity. We all face challenges, and if we can transform that into support for others, that’s what truly matters.”
Michael Bibi began his journey in electronic music at the young age of 14, when he purchased his first pair of belt-driven turntables. In 2023, he was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer called CNS lymphoma but entered remission after six months of treatment. In 2024, he has performed on some of the biggest stages of his career.
Looking ahead, Bibi is scheduled to perform on Saturday, May 17, at Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City in collaboration with Teksupport. Following this, he will return to Europe for performances in Spain, the UK, and Belgium.
