Titled “Music is the Answer,” the Ultra Music Festival 2024 Aftermovie Captures the Thrilling Spirit of the Beloved Festival
Ultra Music Festival stands out for its commitment to creating engaging video recaps of its landmark events. The latest release, “Music is the Answer,” serves as the official aftermovie for Ultra Miami 2024. While it does not cover the unexpected rainstorm that impacted the festival’s opening night, the video showcases a dynamic montage of this year’s event accompanied by captivating music.
UK DJ and producer Aaron Hibell is behind the aftermovie’s score. His recent collaboration with Alex Wann, “Set Me Free,” sets a grand atmosphere, while clips of eager festival-goers approaching the venue evoke shared moments of excitement.
An anonymous voiceover captures the essence of the festival, stating, “This is not just a music festival.” As the lively beats of “Disconnect” by Chase & Status featuring Becky Hill kick in, the voice continues, “The people are dressed up, it’s the vibe, it’s the atmosphere, it’s Miami, it’s the backdrop, it’s the sun, it’s the Mainstage right by the water…”
As the aftermovie progresses, each track in the score (with many credited to Hibell) reflects a distinct dimension of the Ultra experience. “Another Dimension” nods to the emerging hard techno trend, while “FK’s Resistance Edit” of “A State of Emergency” transitions into heritage and big room techno. “Bad Boy” by Nicky Romero and Third Party reignites the intense energy that defined festival culture a decade ago.
“Music is the Answer” concludes with stunning footage of fireworks and radiant faces of attendees, their joy matched by the spectacle above. The uplifting finale is accompanied by Aaron Hibell and Final Kid’s anthemic track “Encore,” which connects back to the video’s theme.
The production of the Ultra Music Festival 2024 aftermovie was handled by Final Kid, an Amsterdam-based studio known for crafting aftermovies for various Ultra events as well as festivals like Parookaville and prominent artists such as Kygo, Goldfish, and Fedde Le Grand.
