Mr Tout Le Monde Discusses His Passion for Electronic Music and the French Dance Scene

While hard techno may dominate the rave scene, the softer, more emotional side of dance music continues to thrive. Lyon’s own Mr Tout Le Monde is at the forefront of this movement, creating heartfelt electronic music that effortlessly fuses elements of indie dance, pop, and deep house. As a talented singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, he has captured audiences worldwide with several albums and successful tours across Germany, Canada, and the US.

Recently, Mr Tout Le Monde released his third album, YOU, completing the SUN-HER-YOU trilogy. In addition, he is gearing up for his largest headlining performance in Paris this fall. However, to fully appreciate this artist, one must delve into his origins, which trace back to his upbringing in France.

“I was fortunate to grow up in France, where art and music, particularly electronic music culture, flourish,” Mr Tout Le Monde explained. His father introduced him to legends like Deep Forest, Vangelis, and Jean-Michel Jarre. Seeing Jarre perform live at age 16 ignited his passion for electronic music. “As I grew older, I discovered a variety of genres, from house to techno and EDM, largely thanks to the diverse nightlife in Lyon,” he remarked.

The cultural heritage in France is vast, and dance music is deeply woven into our society. Yet it has transformed over time: where there were once numerous clubs, there are now more festivals and concerts, which can even be seen in events like the Olympic Games closing ceremony.

Exploring Lyon’s vibrant nightlife paved the way for Mr Tout Le Monde to embrace chill electronica, leading him to both DJ and produce music. He describes the French music scene as “eclectic,” a quality that permeates his own artistry. He recognizes many exceptional artists who embody this diversity.

“France is home to an abundance of phenomenal artists, representing all styles—from Daft Punk to David Guetta, DJ Snake to Madeon, Tchami, Gesaffelstien, Laurent Garnier, Justice, Worakls, Jean-Michel Jarre, and many others,” he said. “Each carries a unique identity that attracts diverse audiences globally while continually pushing boundaries.”

If you were to experience a night out with Mr Tout Le Monde in Lyon, his itinerary would be quite inviting. “We’d begin at Confluence with an 8 Pool and a beer to set the tone for the evening. Afterward, we’d grab some food and head up to the hills to dine with stunning views of the city and stars,” he shared. “Finally, I’d take you to a concert or stop by ‘Le Sucre’ to conclude the night with great music by the river.”

In celebration of his new album and to showcase his distinctive style, Mr Tout Le Monde compiled a special mix for fans to enjoy. “I had a lot of fun creating this mix, featuring my remixes and tracks that I’m currently vibing to,” he explained. The mix includes his original tracks alongside selections from artists like Swedish House Mafia, Aaron Hibell, Lavern, No Requests, Helsloot, David Spinelli, and more.
