Serato, the esteemed audio software leader, is marking a remarkable achievement with 25 years of innovation in DJing and music production. Established in New Zealand by Steve West and AJ Bertenshaw, Serato first made waves in the industry with the launch of Pitch ‘n Time in 1999. Over the years, Serato has solidified its reputation as a fundamental tool for musicians, with prominent artists like Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Drake incorporating it into their work, while icons such as Questlove, Erykah Badu, and DJ Jazzy Jeff regularly utilize Serato’s products.

In honor of this milestone, Serato is set to unveil a limited-edition reissue of its legendary Scratch Live Control Vinyl. Originally launched in 2004, this innovative product transformed DJing by enabling artists to seamlessly mix digital tracks with traditional vinyl. The reissue will be limited to just 1,500 units and will be available worldwide starting October 1, 2024, at a price of $49 USD.

The exclusive 25th-anniversary edition will be available in five vivid colors—black, transparent red, transparent blue, orange, and gray marble. Each set of 12” 140g vinyls will be packaged in a commemorative jacket, offering an element of surprise as customers will unveil their unique color upon opening.

Nick Maclaren, Serato’s Chief Strategy Officer and an early advocate for Scratch Live, reiterated the company’s unwavering dedication to innovation: “When Scratch Live launched, it completely changed the DJing landscape. As we celebrate this important milestone, we’re excited to bring this revolutionary experience back to our community with this reissue.”

This limited-edition release not only pays tribute to Serato’s rich history but also highlights its ongoing impact in shaping the future of music technology.
