Most of the sounds in “Take Time” are derived from video clips of my daughter when she was three, utilizing granular synthesis and various forms of sampling. The song explores the journey of helping her navigate tough emotions during a time filled with frustration and anger, as we learned to tackle it together. It also reflects the reality that, despite my guidance, there are certain challenges everyone must ultimately face on their own, no matter how painful.
