Tragic Loss at Lost Lands: 34-Year-Old James Phromphanh Among Two Fatalities
In a heartbreaking incident at the 2024 Lost Lands Music Festival held at Legend Valley in Ohio, two men lost their lives, as confirmed by the Licking County Sheriff’s Office. These fatalities are not associated with a separate incident involving a man who allegedly drove through festival tents, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
The first victim, James Phromphanh, 34, from Texas, experienced a medical emergency near the main stage on Saturday and succumbed after being transported to Licking Memorial Health. The identity of the second victim, a 27-year-old man from Columbus, is still pending, but he also tragically passed away following hospitalization.
A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with the expenses of transporting Phromphanh’s remains back to Texas, currently raising nearly $5,500 of the $13,000 goal.
According to the GoFundMe description, “Our beloved James passed away unexpectedly, leaving an immense void in our hearts. He was known for his humor and kindness, with a passion for video games and anime. He made a lasting impact on his friends and family and will be deeply missed.”
“We can confirm that two individuals died at the festival in unrelated incidents,” stated the organizers of Lost Lands in a communication to EDM Identity. “Both received medical attention at the venue before being rushed to the hospital. The exact causes of death remain undetermined.”
The statement continued: “We are collaborating with local authorities during their investigations. At this point, we have no additional updates to share publicly.”
Our thoughts at EDM Identity are with the families and friends of those who tragically passed away at Lost Lands during this profoundly difficult time.
