In the world of bass music, few names have gained as much attention as Levity. This Chicago-based powerhouse trio burst onto the scene with their unforgettable performance at Electric Forest last year, and they’ve been riding a wave of success ever since. Today, they continue their ascent with the release of their debut EP, Escapism, Vol. 1, via Deadbeats.
Escapism, Vol. 1 showcases the trio’s first conceptual project, and it certainly meets the high expectations set by their live shows. The seven-track EP is a sonic adventure that begins with the lead track “Escape,” featuring adventurous basslines that lay the groundwork for the experience ahead. The excitement builds with “Ignition,” where powerful bass stabs and explosive drops heighten the anticipation.
The collaborative track “Chill” featuring ProbCause introduces a sleek, relaxed energy, balancing the overall mix with its smooth vibe. Next, the EP energizes the atmosphere with “Jaded,” positioned as a festival anthem, before culminating in “Reawakening,” a track that truly lives up to its title, reigniting the spirit with nostalgic, electro-wave euphoria that whisks listeners away to another realm.
Their current tour is already proving to be a major hit, with over 80% of tickets sold out. Highlights include four shows at The Roxy in LA, three performances at Bowery Ballroom in NYC, as well as stops at the Ogden Theatre in Denver, Wish Lounge in Atlanta, and more.
