London-based duo Henri Bergmann and Wennink are once again making a significant impact in the electronic music scene with their debut on Crosstown Rebels, presenting an emotive crossover track titled “Guardian Angel.” Fusing Bergmann’s melodic expertise with Wennink’s haunting vocal style, the duo has attracted attention from industry heavyweights like Afterlife, with their features on the critically acclaimed Dancing Astronaut’s 2022 Label of the Year’s Realm Of Consciousness Pt. VI. The latest release highlights their talent for creating deep, emotional soundscapes, combining texturally rich percussion with moving vocals for a mesmerizing effect.
Accompanying the original track are remixes from Stimming and London’s own Hardt Antoine, each offering unique interpretations. Stimming’s remix emphasizes an energetic beat complemented by ethereal effects, while Antoine’s version explores a darker, sci-fi-inspired sound. This release signifies yet another achievement for the duo as they continue to establish their presence in the melodic house and techno landscape. They pose the intriguing question, “Do you believe in Guardian Angels?”
