Jackmaster passed away in Ibiza on the morning of October 12 due to complications from a head injury.

Scottish DJ and producer Jack Revill, widely known as Jackmaster, has sadly passed away at 38. His family confirmed that he died in Ibiza on Saturday, October 12, as a result of complications from an accidental head injury.

Revill’s family shared a heartfelt statement expressing their sorrow: “It is with profound grief that we announce the untimely passing of Jack Revill, beloved by many as Jackmaster. His family—Kate, Sean, and Johnny—are completely heartbroken.” They requested privacy during this difficult time while expressing gratitude for the tremendous support from friends, fans, and colleagues.

Born in Glasgow, Revill began his journey at age 14, working at Rubadub Records, where he was compensated in vinyl records before landing a full-time position. His passion for electronic music flourished as he co-founded the Numbers label in 2010, known for its innovative spirit and for releasing works by trailblazing artists like Jamie xx, SOPHIE, and Rustie. Jackmaster’s eclectic DJ sets and diverse musical taste earned him international acclaim. He had recently resumed touring and performing across Europe, the UK, and North America.

Following the announcement of his passing, tributes from the music industry have poured in. Disclosure, CamelPhat, and Skream shared heartfelt messages acknowledging Jackmaster’s significant contributions to music and celebrating his vibrant spirit. “Thank you for all the amazing memories and inspiration,” wrote Disclosure. “You were one of the nicest guys we ever met,” CamelPhat added in their tribute.
