Lubalin continues the rollout of his debut album with a contemplative new single titled “dog.” As the fifth release from his upcoming debut album haha, no worries, “dog” combines introspective lyrics with a smooth production backdrop, showcasing the multi-talented singer-songwriter-producer’s artistry.
Lubalin has shared that he appreciates the single “because it’s actually secretly a sad piano ballad disguised as a big pop drum & bass song. [He] wrote it on the piano originally, but while working on the album, [he] explored many different iterations and decided to try this song in the emerging DnB sound. After overcoming various challenges, everything just clicked, transforming the demo he nearly cut from the album into one of his favorite tracks.”
The Canadian artist has gained recognition for his internet drama-inspired parody videos on TikTok. The energy of his content has led to appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and The Kelly Clarkson Show, among others. However, his social media success does not solely define his artistic identity, as he has been releasing music since 2020, including his 2022 EP, whose love.
“dog” follows previously released singles such as “bullet time,” “trust issues,” “you know me,” and “just love.” Lubalin’s debut album haha, no worries is set to release on December 6.
