Tragic Death of 22-Year-Old at Forum Birmingham Nightclub

A 22-year-old man tragically lost his life at Forum Birmingham during the DnB Allstars Halloween 360° event on Saturday, October 26. Following this incident, authorities revoked the nightclub’s premises license, prompting an official statement from the venue.

In their statement, Forum Birmingham expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased, who reportedly became unwell while at the nightclub. Emergency medical staff attempted to assist him before he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The statement noted, “We have all been deeply affected by this tragedy, as we know many in our wider community have as well.”

During the same event, two other 20-year-old men were hospitalized but were later discharged. West Midlands Police suspect that all three individuals may have used drugs together. In connection with the incident, a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs. Police indicated that Forum Birmingham “may have had an inadequate search regime in place.”

Instead of defending its practices, the nightclub has shown a commitment to cooperation. “We are working closely with the local public authorities to fully understand the circumstances and ensure that we continue to provide the safest possible environment for patrons, as we have done over the last three years,” the statement read. The venue also accepted the council’s decision to temporarily suspend its premises license while it reviews procedures to enhance safety measures.

Authorities have announced that a post-mortem examination of the deceased will be conducted soon in collaboration with the local coroner.
