By fully immersing himself in the event’s vibrant atmosphere, he connected with new individuals, absorbed industry knowledge, and enjoyed a variety of live performances. He returns invigorated and eager to advance his journey within the Electronic Music realm. In this interview, Raw Ideology reflects on ADE 2024 and shares highlights from his time in Amsterdam this past October.
Hi Raw Ideology, how’s it going?
Hey! Really good, still recovering from ADE.
Can you tell us about your experience at ADE this year?
It was incredible—maybe my favorite so far! It’s funny because I attended alone this time. I made many great new friends and thoroughly enjoyed the conferences and meetings, not to mention the classic partying days. I even created a vlog for my YouTube channel capturing some moments so people can share in the experience.
Were there any trends or ideas that caught your attention?
I attended an Intercell party hosted by Chlar and witnessed some of the best Techno I’ve heard in years. It aligns perfectly with the style I’m striving to achieve, and it’s exciting to see it gaining momentum.
What was your main goal in attending ADE, and do you feel you achieved it?
Honestly, I didn’t have high expectations this year. My primary reason for attending was for two important meetings, but the overall experience exceeded my expectations.
How did you find the atmosphere in Amsterdam during ADE week?
This year was definitely better overall than last year—there were more attendees and a greater vibe.
What makes ADE an unmissable event within the Electronic Music community?
If you’re passionate about electronic music or are part of the industry, it’s a must-attend event. The connections and experiences are unlike anything else I encounter throughout the year; it feels magical.
Did you attend any performances? If so, can you share your favorites?
Intercell, Awakenings, and Slapfunk were phenomenal parties. Each had its own unique style, but all delivered exceptional experiences.
How do you think your experiences at ADE will impact your work moving forward?
It always influences my work; bonding with industry friends, opening new opportunities, and the learning that comes with it is invaluable.
Can you tell us your top three highlights of ADE 2024?
The three parties I mentioned earlier: Slapfunk, Intercell, and Awakenings. They were definitely the highlights for me.
How do you unwind after a busy week at ADE?
If possible, I recommend staying in Amsterdam for a few extra days. Riding a bike, exploring the museums, and enjoying the interactive experiences the city offers, along with indulging in delicious food, is a perfect way to relax.
