Becky Hill electrifies The Novo in Los Angeles during the Believe Me Now? tour!

Becky Hill stands out as one of the leading voices in the electronic dance music genre. Known for her chart-topping tracks such as “Gecko” with Oliver Heldens, “Piece of Me” with MK, and “Lose Control” with Meduza, her impressive collaborations with artists like Andy C and Chase & Status further showcase her talent. Becky’s remarkable vocal range, combined with her vibrant stage presence, makes her live performances unforgettable.

With the recent release of her latest album Believe Me Now?, she embarked on a tour of the same name, and we were thrilled to experience one of her shows at The Novo in Los Angeles. As anticipated, Becky Hill owned the stage, delivering a set that traversed her entire discography while expertly maintaining the energy throughout the night.

Traffic was heavy on the way to Los Angeles, but my excitement grew as I approached the venue.

The Novo is located in a bustling area of Downtown Los Angeles. Unfortunately, the concert coincided with a Lakers home game at Crypto Arena just a block away. After navigating through the traffic and crowded streets, I managed to find parking in a nearby lot. I met up with friends, enjoyed some food and drinks at Yard House around the corner, and there were plenty of options to fuel up before we settled in for the show.

Alicia Creti, the opening act, delivered a fantastic performance.

A talented vocalist and pianist, Alicia Creti performed stunning songs that I was hearing for the first time, highlighting the joy of discovering new music in a live setting. Despite not knowing much about her before the concert, I became an instant fan by the end of her set!

When Alicia’s set concluded, it was time for Becky Hill to take the stage. The energy among the crowd surged as she began her performance, which lasted throughout the entire set. An elite vocalist and songwriter, Becky seamlessly integrated her numerous hits into the show while consistently elevating the atmosphere. She kicked off her performance with classics like “Piece of Me” and “Wish You Well,” culminating in high-energy drum and bass tracks such as “Indestructible” with Andy C and “Disconnect” with Chase & Status.

Becky Hill’s live performance is a unique experience.

Her genuine connection with the audience is evident as she shares memorable moments while belting out hit after hit, captivating everyone in attendance. The Novo, a medium-sized venue, was filled with an energetic crowd that extended to the back and up to the terrace, where fans danced throughout the concert. The audience’s enthusiasm for Becky Hill’s music created a beautifully reciprocal energy that was heartwarming to witness.

After the show, my friends and I lingered so one of our group could get his vinyl signed. Though it can be a challenging task with artists often rushing to their next destination, Becky Hill proved to be different. We found a friendly member of her crew and explained our friend’s request to get his favorite record signed. He took the vinyl backstage and returned within minutes with it signed!

This thoughtful gesture was deeply appreciated by our friend Jeff, highlighting the essence of live music. Ultimately, Becky Hill is not just an extraordinary performer; she is a genuinely kind person who values her fans and her art.

The Believe Me Now? tour will conclude with shows in Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, and Montreal, wrapping up at Terminal 5 in New York. I highly recommend catching Becky Hill live. You’ll experience the best of her music, and perhaps you’ll get the chance to have a piece of merchandise signed after the show!
