Out now on Yellow Claw’s label, Barong Family, House Music For Stripclubs promises to keep you energized and dancing.
As a dynamic duo, Yellow Claw has consistently broken new ground across genres such as trap, moombahton, dubstep, and more recently, hardstyle. Their iconic albums Amsterdam Trap Music and Amsterdam Twerk Music remain key influences from the 2010s. With their label Barong Family, established in 2014 and now featuring over 600 releases in a decade, their impact on the dance music scene is undeniable.
Now, under their alias €URO TRA$H (pronounced Euro trash), they have unveiled their second album, House Music For Stripclubs, following the project’s debut album, ¥€$, released last year.
Launched during the pandemic, the €URO TRA$H project aims to “revive the essence of the rave.” Drawing inspiration from the electrifying atmosphere of strip clubs and the exuberance of contemporary online entertainment, this album delivers a rejuvenated perspective on house music. It’s a high-octane 13-track experience that perfectly encapsulates the duo’s energetic style.
The authentic contributions of longtime collaborator OGAQUAFINA, a former dancer turned rapper, added depth to tracks like “1F2F” on the debut album, and now shines on the opening track “10 Outta 10.” Each concept on this album is infused with vitality, featuring collaborations with FEYI, Bok Nero, and Syaqish.
With catchy synths, driving basslines, groovy drums, and raw, unfiltered vocals, the album exudes an underground vibe that is both gritty and captivating. Every track is tailored for large crowds and festival settings, with highlights including “What You Looking For” and the previously mentioned “10 Outta 10.”
The album was largely developed during their U.S. tours, where downtime turned into chances to connect with artists and individuals with compelling stories. The other half of the music was created during a retreat in Bali, Indonesia, contributing to its unique sound.
Looking forward, Yellow Claw plans to bring the €URO TRA$H experience to life with their first official tour in the United States in early 2025. Fans should keep an eye on their social media for tour dates. The duo is also committed to elevating Asian artists on the global stage, collaborating with many talents from Indonesia. With projects like €URO TRA$H, it’s evident that Yellow Claw is dedicated to pushing the limits of their favorite genres.
