What inspired your initial interest in music, and what ignited your passion for DJing and producing?

My journey into music began when I explored my father’s study as a child. His vast collection of records, cassette tapes, and CDs exposed me to a variety of sounds. Learning that my father was once a DJ sparked my curiosity to delve into music production and live performances.

Can you describe your creative process when developing new music? What keeps you inspired?

When embarking on new projects, I strive to capture the same feelings I experience while at a club or listening to a song that resonates with me. I draw inspiration from attending sets by other DJs and artists.

Having grown up in Los Angeles, how has the city’s music scene shaped your style?

My upbringing was heavily influenced by artists like Sean Paul, rap, and jazz. The sounds of LA are everywhere, and as I began creating music and remixes, I found that many of those influences permeated my work, reflecting an authentic LA vibe.

I envisioned creating a platform to showcase and collect original music. I want to establish a legacy where future generations can appreciate unique records.

Running a label has emphasized the importance of seeking innovative sounds and nurturing artists who honor the roots of house music. One key takeaway for me is that every record has a potential home; there’s a place for every sound.
