These Golden Records showcased an eclectic mix of Earth’s music alongside other significant symbols of life on our planet, although electronic music was in its nascent stages back then. Seven Countdown NYE Artists Share Tracks They’d Send to Aliens
OddKidOut
“I think they should listen to ‘Mortal’ by Leotrix. That track is absolutely wild. I’ve always envisioned it as the perfect song to blast while cruising in a UFO through space. I feel like maybe they could connect with us through the sounds in that track.”
SIREN
“I would send The Prodigy’s ‘Out of Space.’ This track united the underground rave scene with mainstream music upon its release. Its energetic beats and rave synths would be ideal for introducing aliens to rave culture and would definitely have them dancing down to Earth to join us!”
REAPER
“Definitely my track ‘HEATSEEKER.’ I wrote this song, along with my ‘RENEGADE’ EP, drawing inspiration from sci-fi films and alien themes. The vocal call-and-response of ‘seek, destroy’ transports me to another dimension. I can picture aliens moshing to it.”
