Eptic Pauses Touring to Concentrate on Music Production and Creative Growth

“I’ve realized I can’t create the music/art I aspire to if I’m constantly exhausted and traveling,” said Eptic.

From global conflicts to various health issues, and other factors, numerous reasons can lead DJs to take a break from touring. For Eptic, the decision is more straightforward. The Belgian DJ and producer seeks to dedicate more time to his studio work and improve the quality of his creations.

Eptic, whose real name is Michaël Bella, shared his career reflections with fans on Instagram. “I’m taking a break from touring for a while,” he stated. “I’ve been on the road almost non-stop since I was 17, and while I wouldn’t trade those experiences for anything, I’ve realized I can’t create the music/art I want if I’m this worn out and constantly flying.”

He also hinted that his health is a consideration in this decision. “I’ll be taking time to finish and write music, focus on my health, and spend quality time with family and friends,” he noted. “Whether this break lasts a few months or longer is uncertain; I can’t really say.”

Bella, known for his heavy bass music, began gaining traction in his career with his 2012 EP, Like a Boss, released on Never Say Die Records. He has consistently released music through the label and collaborated with artists such as Habstrakt, Dillon Francis, Jauz, and Marshmello. In 2022, he unveiled his debut studio album, The End of the World.
