Tale Of Us: Is the Duo Breaking Up?
For years, the iconic electronic music duo Tale Of Us has captivated audiences worldwide with their innovative sound and mesmerizing production. Recently, however, fans have expressed concern that the group may be on the brink of a breakup, as both members appear to be focusing more on their solo projects.
Anyma, one half of the duo, has just wrapped up an impressive residency at The Sphere in Las Vegas, which seems to have shifted his attention away from their collaborative work. Although the pair kicked off 2025 with a performance at Afterlife Tulum on consecutive nights, observers have noted a noticeable change in their on-stage chemistry. Reports suggest that the dynamic between Carmine Conte and Matteo Milleri has felt distant and detached in recent months.
While neither member has publicly addressed any rift between them, industry insiders have pointed out that their usual summer schedule, including their anticipated Ibiza residency, is looking uncertain for 2025. A Reddit user, u/istonisas, shared insights from a source close to Afterlife and Hï, stating, “A guy from Ibiza close to Afterlife and Hï told me that they are focusing more on the musical experience than the visuals. End of Genesys will be the last Afterlife event with the big visual production. Also, they only used the Waiting for the Sign tree visual in Ibiza (the night I went to AF Hi Ibiza) and that was amazing, also they turned off the screens for a long time playing old Afterlife stuff and insane sounds as precovid. Tale Of Us will return to Circoloco DC10 in October and also expect a different set more like the old ones.”
At this point, these rumors remain unconfirmed, but the duo’s energy and sparse event schedule, including the absence of Afterlife Barcelona during the typically vibrant Sonar week in June, has left fans apprehensive. Although dedicated followers continue to show interest in both Tale Of Us and the Afterlife brand, no official updates have been released regarding their current status.
