Sol Fest Organizers Announce Indefinite Hiatus After Three-Year Journey
Florida has become a hub for bass music enthusiasts, and few events have captured attention quite like Sol Fest, which debuted in 2022. This independent festival aimed to revolutionize the scene with its bass-centric lineups but faced numerous challenges that ultimately led to today’s announcement of an indefinite hiatus.
Earlier today, Sol Fest organizers shared news via their official social media platforms, confirming that the festival will not return in 2025. They reflected on their experience, stating, “This festival has always been a labor of love, a way to celebrate life in honor of our dear friend Sol while embracing the music, art, and community that matters so much to us. Closing this chapter is tough, as our journey has positively impacted many lives, including those of Sol’s friends and family.”
Sol Fest encountered significant obstacles, beginning with the loss of its initial venue’s CEO, which necessitated a relocation. The organizers explained, “We did everything we could to establish a new welcoming home, starting a year in advance by meeting with officials and preparing the new venues at our own expense.”
The announcement of the indefinite hiatus does not signal the end of Sol Fest. The organizers provided a note of optimism for the future: “This isn’t goodbye, Sol Fam. For now, hold your loved ones close and keep the Sol Fest spirit alive,” they concluded with appreciation for their community.
The latest installment of Sol Fest showcased leading artists in the bass music scene, including G Jones, Of The Trees, LSDREAM, Rezz, CloZee, Bob Moses, Elderbrook, Dr. Fresch, and many more. However, the festival’s vibrant atmosphere was marred by incidents over the weekend, including a car fire, logistical challenges, and stringent searches conducted by law enforcement.
