Moby continues to expand his musical horizons with the upcoming Quiet Home DJ Mix, set to drop on September 12th. This mix, featuring both new and unreleased versions of tracks from always centered at night, offers a laid-back, dreamy vibe suitable for relaxation or study. It exemplifies Moby’s ability to reinvent his sound while staying true to his roots in electronic music.
The album always centered at night stands out in Moby‘s discography for its diverse collaborations, showcasing 13 unique voices from various musical backgrounds. The lead single, “dark days,” features the powerful vocals of soul-jazz singer Lady Blackbird and sets the tone for the album’s blend of genres. Other notable collaborators include serpentwithfeet on the haunting “on air” and Benjamin Zephaniah on the thought-provoking “where is your pride?”
Moby will also embark on his first tour in over a decade, performing across Europe and the UK later this year to celebrate his seminal album, Play. The tour, which includes a new date in Lausanne, Switzerland, has already seen several shows sell out. As a committed animal rights activist, Moby will donate 100% of the tour profits to European animal rights organizations.
