Renowned for his unique ability to merge Classical influences with contemporary Electronic production, Andrew shares his vision for deeper connections with his audience while remaining true to his creative path.

How’s it going, Andrew Canlon?

Busy but good, thank you!

What excites you most about the opportunities and challenges awaiting you this year?

The most exciting part about 2025 is that it’s all about music for me. Music has become my full-time job, and despite the challenges, I can’t complain. This is what I’ve always wanted.

Are there any upcoming tracks or releases you’re particularly looking forward to sharing with your fans?

Absolutely! I have a single releasing in 2025 that I believe is one of the best songs I’ve ever written, which is another collaboration with my good friend Dmitry Libman.

What are your main goals for 2025, both musically and personally?

My primary goal is to perform live, which is already in motion. I’m thrilled to be part of a Breaking Sound showcase in Brooklyn later this month. I’m enjoying connecting with new artists and collaborating, and integrating into the New York scene feels fantastic.

You’ve mentioned your commitment to blending Classical Music with Electronic production. How do you plan to evolve this approach in the coming year?

There’s a reason Classical elements are rare in today’s Electronic Music; it’s challenging to incorporate. I love Classical Music, especially Mozart and contemporary composer Hans Zimmer. I’m always looking for ways to weave it into my work. My piano style tends to lean towards Classical, and I often incorporate strings, horns, and choirs. I’d describe my approach as orchestral.

Are there specific venues or festivals you hope to perform at in 2025?

I’m excited to have joined Breaking Sound. I would love to return to perform at ADE. There are some amazing local promotions in New York I’m currently pursuing, with We Belong Here being a significant target. I’m practicing DJ sets to prepare for a show with them.

What role do you think collaboration will play in your music throughout 2025? Are there any partnerships in the works?

Collaboration will be crucial this year. Currently, I have a topline being developed by a notable Canadian DJ that I’m excited about. I’m also working on a topline for a DJ/Producer based in Berlin, followed by another collaboration with a UK DJ. Additionally, I’m collaborating with several local artists in New York. It’s flattering to be asked to lend my voice to projects, and I’m always eager to help.

Reflecting on your artistic journey so far, what’s one lesson from 2024 you’re taking into 2025?

The most significant lesson for me is to maintain a balanced perspective; neither getting my hopes too high nor too low. For me, success is about consistency. I’m not looking for instant gratification, nor do I procrastinate. It’s liberating to devote all my time to creating great music, and I plan to stay committed. I’ve worked hard to be here, so I’ll continue to strive to reach more listeners and provide them with joy through my music. That’s how I define my role as a musician; it’s my job to evoke emotions and move people.

As you continue to grow as an artist, how are you working to establish a stronger connection with your fan base in 2025?

That’s an excellent question. All I can do is be my authentic self. I’m not particularly savvy with social media, as I come from a traditional music background focused on proficiency. Through observing other artists, I’ve learned that being the best is not the most important thing. What truly matters is being honest with your audience and sharing experiences with them. I feel myself becoming more comfortable in that space with each performance, so I believe the best way to connect with my fans is to perform live as often as possible.

What inspires you most about the current state of Electronic Music as you look ahead?

The most inspiring aspect of today’s Electronic Music landscape is the vastness of the sound palette. The instruments we’re using, both analog and digital, are incredibly powerful. A single synth preset can have such an impressive presence that the challenge becomes how to build on it without overcrowding the mix. I’m continually amazed by that. It’s empowering to experiment with sounds and discover tones that resonate so grandly they feel almost heavenly.

Finally, what message would you like to share with your audience as you embark on the next year in your career?

I want to express my gratitude to every one of you for your support and encourage you to attend a live show, as that’s where the magic truly happens. I promise to play at least one new track at each show to keep things fresh. Also, please follow me on Instagram, as it makes a significant difference and is where I share the latest news and updates.
