Afterlife Festival Mexico City Canceled Due to Technical Issues
Afterlife is celebrated for delivering extraordinary experiences featuring mesmerizing melodic techno and breathtaking visuals across the globe. Their recent events, including a large gathering in Tulum and Anyma’s impressive takeover of the Sphere in Las Vegas, have reinforced their status in the electronic music scene. Earlier this year, the brand unveiled its latest venture, Afterlife Festival, planned for Mexico City and Barcelona, featuring performances from Anyma and MRAK. However, just over a month before the two-day event in Mexico City was scheduled to commence, it has been officially canceled.
Today, Zamna announced the cancellation of Afterlife Festival Mexico City. In a statement shared on social media, the promoter cited “unforeseen technical and licensing issues with the venue” as the reason for the cancellation. “We explored every possible solution, but the situation prevents us from delivering the experience you deserve,” the statement continued.
Originally, Afterlife Festival Mexico City was set to take place at Hipódromo de las Américas, a site that has previously welcomed events from the brand, on May 9-10. Attendees who purchased tickets will receive a full refund through Fullpass to the card used for the transaction.
For fans of the brand, there is still hope as the Afterlife Festival in Barcelona is currently scheduled for Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya on June 13-14. While the lineup has yet to be announced, further information and tickets are available on the official website.
