In May 2010, John Martin and Michel Zitron collaborated to write the chorus, using Zitron’s personal life as a backdrop for the touching lyrics. Zitron’s reflections on his challenging family dynamics in Stockholm contributed to the song’s emotional depth, while the nostalgic pre-chorus reflected the youthful romance from the songwriters’ past. Originally planned for another project, the demo was ultimately sent to Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia in December 2010.

The accompanying music video, recorded during their final performance in the UK at Milton Keynes, has amassed over 1 billion views on YouTube as of August 19, 2024.
