Insomniac Allocates Resources to Assist San Bernardino County Fire Victims
The recent Line and Bridge fires in San Bernardino County have severely impacted the local community. As of today, the Line Fire, ignited on September 5, has achieved only 18% containment, while the Bridge Fire, which started on September 8, is at 0% containment. Thousands are currently displaced, and residents are facing hazardous air quality. Due to these alarming circumstances, Insomniac made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Nocturnal Wonderland, taking immediate action to redirect resources towards assisting fire crews and affected individuals.
In their official cancellation announcement, Insomniac expressed their intent to share how the dance music community can come together to support firefighters and those impacted by the fires. They are already initiating support by reallocating resources originally planned for this weekend’s Nocturnal Wonderland.
Adventure RV California utilized social media to share that three RVs, meant for Pasquale Rotella’s campsite at Nocturnal Wonderland, have been donated to aid individuals displaced by the Line and Bridge fires. These RVs will be available from September 12-17 at Yucaipa Regional Park, providing access to water, electricity, and sewer for three families in desperate need. More details can be found on the company’s Instagram post.
Insomniac has also begun to mobilize further support for relief efforts. According to EDM Identity, resources prepared for Nocturnal Wonderland at Glen Helen Regional Park are now being distributed to local fire crews. This includes thousands of N-95 masks that were initially intended for festival attendees. Furthermore, five pallets of bottled water from the festival and camping grounds have been pledged to assist the brave firefighters combatting the blazes.
This initial response from Insomniac signals a strong commitment to the San Bernardino County community, where they have hosted events for over thirty years. Stay tuned for additional updates as more initiatives are announced.
If you wish to contribute to relief efforts, donations can be made through the Inland SoCal United Way Wildfire Fund or the Red Cross, both of which provide critical support to wildfire-affected residents in San Bernardino County.
We will continue to provide updates on additional opportunities to support firefighters and those in need as new information emerges.
