Mother nature has once again made her presence felt. The much-anticipated EDC China has been cancelled as a result of an incoming typhoon. The cyclone is expected to hit the area during the festival dates, leading to this unfortunate decision.

In a heartfelt message shared on social media, EDC China announced the cancellation of the event due to the impending typhoon. Insomniac, the festival’s organizer, emphasized their commitment to safety by adhering to the Suzhou City Typhoon Defense Emergency Plan. Despite the disappointment, the safety of attendees and performers is the top priority.
EDC has assured that all tickets purchased through official channels will be fully refunded, including any applicable fees, within the next 7-10 business days. EDC remains one of the most celebrated and largest music festivals globally, with several host cities including Las Vegas, Orlando, Mexico City, and upcoming in 2025, Thailand. While the cancellation of the China edition is disheartening, Insomniac is known for its resilience and commitment to making up for missed events. For instance, the cancellation of EDC Las Vegas in 2020 led to a spectacular edition of the festival in October 2021.
We remain hopeful that headliners will soon have the chance to revel in the EDM experience with EDC in China again. For now, let’s all wish for safe passage as the storm approaches.
