Following the success of the collaboration-heavy Posse EP Volume 2, Metronomy has teamed up with the Manchester-born, London-based band Porij for their latest single, “Petit Boy,” released through Ninja Tune.
“Petit Boy” is an upbeat, vibrant dance anthem that expertly combines catchy pop vocals with eclectic synthesizers and sophisticated chord progressions. With its infectious hook from Porij’s lead vocalist and a straightforward structure, the track promises endless replay value. The synthesis of styles in “Petit Boy” has us excited, and we eagerly anticipate more collaborations from this talented quintet.
Porij shared insights about their collaboration, stating:
It was a joyous experience getting to collaborate with Metronomy on this track. It’s a silly tongue-in-cheek song about dealing with insecurities within ourselves and others. We started it many moons ago and revisited it recently with fresh ears, and thought it was decent haha. Very much looking forward to finally getting it out into the world.
You can stream “Petit Boy” via the link below, available everywhere through Ninja Tune. Enjoy!
