Electric Forest 2025 Dates Announced: June 17-22
Following a recent Rothbury Council meeting, the iconic Electric Forest festival is set to take place from June 17-22, 2025. This adjustment in scheduling is a direct response to this year’s challenging weather conditions but is not expected to hinder the festival’s vibrant atmosphere next year.
As reported by the White Lake Mirror, the Rothbury, Michigan council indicated that Chad Cheek, VP of Business Strategy at AEG Presents, requested these new dates due to artist and vendor availability. The festival’s permit allows for such changes provided they are made eight months in advance.
Electric Forest has yet to make a formal announcement regarding its 2025 event. However, this year’s dates were already confirmed by the organizers in November 2023.
Moreover, following a January council meeting, Electric Forest secured its future, with officials granting a permit that ensures the festival can continue to thrive annually through 2035.
Originally known as Rothbury Festival when it debuted in 2008, Electric Forest carved out a unique niche by showcasing a blend of electronic music artists like Flosstradamus and Thievery Corporation alongside jam bands such as Widespread Panic and The String Cheese Incident, with hip-hop acts like Snoop Dogg adding extra flair.
This year featured performances from notable artists like Subtronics, John Summit, and Umphrey’s McGee. However, the festival was also marked by the tragic passing of Alexander Lewis, who was transported to a nearby hospital during the event.
As Electric Forest 2025 approaches, it remains to be seen if any further updates will be announced.
