Billy McFarland Removes Video Referencing Pablo Escobar’s Island for Fyre Festival II Relaunch

News

Billy McFarland and his controversial Fyre Festival 2 are grabbing headlines continuously. Recently, in a now removed Instagram video, he claimed that he and his team were exploring the option to purchase a private island in the Exumas, Bahamas, highlighting that it was infamously linked to Pablo Escobar. In the video, it appeared that McFarland was soliciting financial support from his followers.

According to McFarland, the decision to relocate the festival stemmed from overwhelming demand, as many people expressed interest in purchasing tickets, necessitating a venue with a greater capacity for attendees. The price point for tickets is quite steep; the cheapest option starts at $1,400. Whether this level of interest is genuine or inflated remains debatable.

The top-tier ticket, priced at a whopping $1.1 million, offers exclusive experiences including scuba diving alongside Billy McFarland and “island hopping” adventures.

Just last week, we reported that McFarland claimed over 20,000 individuals showed interest in attending this potentially groundbreaking edition of the festival. The outcome of this claim remains to be seen.

The deleted video has been linked here. There has been no explanation given for its removal.
