The legacy of Avicii continues to inspire, with personal memorabilia recently auctioned for charity, raising significant funds and showcasing the profound influence of his music on countless lives.
On October 1st, Nybrogatan 32 in Stockholm kicked off bidding for a remarkable collection of items once owned by Tim Bergling, known as Avicii. The Avicii Collection – A Charity Auction featured 267 items from the late DJ and producer, with proceeds supporting the Tim Bergling Foundation. Some notable items included guitars, CDJs, a Miami Marlins cap, and a pair of headphones. With participation from over 40 countries, the auction proved to be an outstanding success, highlighted by a 2015 Fender Telecaster that fetched $23,000.
“It feels fantastic to convey this significant amount to The Tim Bergling Foundation. We are very pleased to see how The Avicii Collection has also appealed to a younger audience. Many here in the hall have placed their very first auction bids today, and it feels very honorable for us to be a part of that.”
-Cecilia Gave, CEO of Stockholms Auktionsverk
The auction was organized in collaboration with Tim Bergling’s family, who generously donated the items, directing the proceeds towards the Tim Bergling Foundation, which focuses on suicide prevention. Raising approximately $695,952, the auction underscores the global admiration for Avicii and the joy his music continues to bring to fans around the world.
