The Beatport Group Launches Diversity + Parity Fund to Elevate Underrepresented Voices in the Dance Music Community

Beatport is widely recognized as a leading platform for DJs to acquire music, but its commitment to empowering the electronic music community extends far beyond mere sales. Through initiatives like the Beatport Next program and collaborative efforts with brands such as HE.SHE.THEY., along with the introduction of innovative tools for DJs and producers, the Beatport Group has continually driven progress within the scene. Today, they have unveiled the details for the third installment of the Diversity + Parity Fund, aimed at further supporting the vibrant electronic music landscape.

The Beatport Group’s Diversity + Parity Fund will provide crucial financial backing and increased visibility to organizations striving to improve diversity and inclusion in the dance music realm. A total of $150,000 in funding is available, with grants ranging from $3,000 to $15,000 to cater to organizations of varying sizes. Beyond financial support, selected organizations will also gain editorial and marketing exposure through Beatport. Additionally, $10,000 is earmarked for a unique IMS Ibiza Fund, designed to enable young artists to attend the prestigious music summit in 2025.

At Beatport, we believe that fostering a more inclusive music industry is essential to its continued evolution and success. Through our Diversity + Parity Fund, we aim to empower those working at the grassroots level to help shape a more inclusive future in electronic music. We’ve been honored to support incredible initiatives over the past two years and watch them grow and make a real impact. We look forward to seeing the impact this year’s recipients will make.
