Experience High-Quality Music: Beatport Now Offers Over 12 Million Tracks in FLAC Format
Beatport has officially launched its innovative platform at the start of 2024, shaking up the dance music industry just as CDJ players gain traction and DJs increasingly seek music in MP3 format. The leading digital music store has now revealed that its extensive collection of tracks will also be accessible in Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) format.
Subscribers of the service’s Beatport Streaming Professional plan will enjoy access to FLAC files from Beatport’s impressive library of over 12 million dance music recordings gathered over the last two decades. Additionally, Beatsource Streaming Pro+ members can seamlessly download any of the 7 million tracks available in its open format catalog.
FLAC files strike an ideal balance between reduced file sizes and superior audio fidelity, making them especially valuable for DJs, particularly those performing livestreams. This format is widely supported by popular hardware and software platforms such as Serato, Pioneer, rekordbox, and Traktor.
“At Beatport, our mission has always been to deliver the highest quality music and the best tools for DJs to enhance their performances,” stated Beatport Group CRO Helen Sartory. “The addition of lossless FLAC audio to Beatport Streaming is a transformative step, allowing our subscribers to provide an unparalleled sound experience to their audiences. This enhancement reinforces our dedication to innovation and excellence in the DJ music landscape.”
Beatport is also committed to addressing social challenges within the music industry. Just last week, the online music marketplace announced its third annual Diversity + Parity Fund, which will allocate $150,000 to various initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion.
