PreSonus Audio Electronics, Inc. has unveiled the highly anticipated Studio One Pro 7, the newest version of their advanced digital audio workstation (DAW) software.
This major update boasts over 30 innovative features designed for loop-based music production, mixing, mastering, and live performances.
Highlights of Studio One Pro 7
The latest release features AI-driven Stem Separation, enabling users to dissect audio into four separate tracks. This powerful capability allows for the extraction of stems from existing recordings and facilitates the creation of instrumentals.
For the first time in its history, Splice has been integrated into Studio One Pro 7. Users can now browse and preview Splice samples directly within the software. This integration features an AI-enhanced “Search with Sound” option, allowing users to discover sounds that harmonically and rhythmically align with their projects.
The upgraded Integrated Launcher presents a dynamic grid of audio or MIDI loops and patterns that can be activated and modified in real-time. Users are empowered to record or import audio and MIDI straight into cells, edit these elements, and craft scenes and playlists while capturing live performances on the timeline.
Deep Flight One, a newly introduced virtual instrument, is now available as an independent tool within Studio One Pro 7. It features up to three layers, integrated effects, and fresh presets, specializing in soundscapes, drones, pads, leads, and bass sounds.
The Impact drum machine has also seen enhancements, now featuring an in-place editor that allows users to create patterns, tweak parameters, and edit virtual drum sounds without needing to open a separate window. Additional features include Interactive Scale and Loop Tools, Global Transpose functionality, Advanced Tempo Detection, and a CV Instrument for direct control of analog hardware via Studio One Pro 7.
