Kaskade’s wife has officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. She’s asking for joint legal and physical custody of their kids.
Acclaimed DJ and music producer Kaskade—whose real name is Ryan Raddon—is facing a divorce. A recent report from TMZ and Billboard reveals that his wife, Naomi Raddon, filed for divorce on Thursday, stating irreconcilable differences as the cause of their separation.
The divorce documents indicate that the couple separated in June after nearly 28 years of marriage, having first met in Provo, Utah, in 1995. They share three children, including a 14-year-old daughter. Naomi is requesting joint legal and physical custody, as well as spousal support and coverage for her legal fees from Kaskade.
The announcement of Kaskade’s divorce may surprise many of his fans, as he is often regarded as a family-oriented figure within the electronic dance music (EDM) community. He is known for his abstinence from alcohol and drugs and frequently shares moments with his family, whether by taking them to his events or posting about them on social media.
Over the past three decades, Kaskade has become a leading name in the electronic music industry, consistently ranking among the highest-paid DJs since the rise of EDM. He played a pivotal role in shaping the nightlife scene in Las Vegas with his “Kaskade Sundays” residency at Encore Beach Club starting in 2010, and has performed at major festivals such as EDC Las Vegas and Coachella. He has also served as the official DJ for events like the X Games and Super Bowl LVIII.
Kaskade’s music has received accolades from both fans and industry critics, earning him numerous Grammy and Juno award nominations throughout his career. His latest nomination was for his collaborative album with deadmau5 under the Kx5 project.
EDM Identity has reached out to Kaskade’s team for a statement but has yet to receive a reply as of this publication.
