Josh Wyatt to Lead Avant Gardner into New Era as CEO, Elevating Venues like The Brooklyn Mirage
Avant Gardner, New York City’s premier entertainment venue, has been a significant player in the scene for years. The latest season of events at their venues—The Brooklyn Mirage, The Great Hall, and The Kings Hall—showcased top-tier talent and attracted sold-out crowds. Today, they are taking a significant step forward with the announcement of their first-ever CEO, Josh Wyatt.
Josh Wyatt brings extensive experience in the entertainment industry. Before joining Avant Gardner, he served as CEO of the exclusive social club NeueHouse and the photography museum Fotografiska, where he played a vital role in their global expansion and brand development. With two decades in hospitality and culture, including positions as President of Equinox Hotels and founding leader of Generator Hotels, Wyatt is well-equipped to guide Avant Gardner.
“I am thrilled and motivated to join Avant Gardner, a company renowned for its innovation and boundary-pushing approach to music, culture, and creating unforgettable experiences,” said Josh Wyatt. “The venue design, talent programming, and exceptional production quality are unmatched in the nightlife industry, and I look forward to helping Avant Gardner and its founder reach its full potential.”
That potential is particularly evident with Avant Gardner’s flagship venue, The Brooklyn Mirage. Wyatt will spearhead initiatives to introduce a hi-fi listening room for audiophiles, new VIP spaces, an integrated art and visual program, and the first-ever mocktail bar at a US music venue. Furthermore, a revamped programming schedule will feature groundbreaking performances from emerging artists and more.
Founded in 2015, Avant Gardner encompasses multiple venues within its expansive 80,000-square-foot complex. The Brooklyn Mirage has gained a reputation for delivering surreal performances from top artists, supported by impressive LED panels and numerous upgrades. With Josh Wyatt at the helm, the new chapter for Avant Gardner promises even more remarkable enhancements, further solidifying its status as a leading nightlife destination worldwide.
On Sunday, November 3, The Brooklyn Mirage will host its season-closing event, “Mirage Loves You.” This one-time-only festival will celebrate the community with performances from international talent and serve as the last opportunity to experience the venue before new updates roll out in the spring.
