Jauz and P-Lo Revitalize Zion I’s “Don’t Lose Your Head” as the Golden State Warriors’ New Third-Quarter Anthem
The Golden State Warriors have been closely connected to the dance music scene in recent years. They not only play high-energy tracks during games but also collaborated with SIDEPIECE last year to create a song to elevate the game experience. This season, the Warriors have turned their attention back to their roots in the Bay Area, enlisting Jauz and P-Lo to craft a new anthem for their home games.
As Bay Area natives, Jauz and P-Lo’s collaboration is a natural fit, merging electronic music with hip-hop in their new track “Don’t Lose Your Head.” The song features an infectious house beat that is sure to amp up the energy, complemented by West Coast rap vibes designed to get the crowd at Chase Center moving just after halftime.
While the distinct styles of Jauz and P-Lo shine throughout the track, it also pays tribute to the original song by another Bay Area group, Zion I. Jauz expressed, “We aimed to honor Zion I’s legendary track while injecting a fresh, high-energy twist to energize fans after halftime. We reimagined the sample with P-Lo, combining his signature West Coast rap with my unique production style. Our goal is to keep Warriors fans engaged and ready for the second half.”
