Here’s what Stefanno b2b Julianno shared about their ADE journey.
Hi Stefanno b2b Julianno, how are you guys?
Hi everyone! We’re doing great. Thank you for having us. Just back from an inspiring time at ADE, and we’re feeling incredibly energized with fresh ideas.
What did you enjoy most about ADE this year?
It was an amazing experience for us. Being our first ADE, it offered a fantastic opportunity to connect with numerous influential figures in the industry and participate in many insightful conferences, interviews, and workshops. We definitely plan to return, as this ADE opened up many opportunities for us.
Was there a specific talk, performance, or workshop that stood out to you?
The entire experience was fantastic. Meeting our agency team from UK-Malta was a highlight. We also enjoyed engaging with prominent artists like Ferry Corsten, Orjan Nielsen, Cosmic Gate, Andrew Rayel, and our friend Dennis Sheperd. Additionally, the production workshop at ADE Lab with Skytech was particularly interesting for us.
How does ADE impact the global Electronic Music scene? What makes it a standout event for professionals?
ADE is primarily about networking and providing new opportunities for emerging producers and DJs. The connections that a festival like ADE facilitates for new artists significantly influence the Electronic Music scene. Moreover, the interactions among agencies, labels, managers, fans, and companies at ADE create new opportunities for many.
What was the most surprising aspect of ADE for you this year?
We were impressed by the sheer number of top artists, DJs, producers, event organizers, label owners, and booking agencies present all in one city. Such an opportunity is rare at any festival, workshop, or conference.
If you could sum up the atmosphere of ADE 2024 in one word for first-time attendees, what would it be?
It really depends on your interests. However, ADE offers a wealth of fun, opportunities, networking, and a variety of Electronic Dance music shows every day and night. No matter your role in the industry, you can find it all, so the best word to describe it is “Diversity.”
Were there any non-music-related activities in Amsterdam that enhanced your ADE experience?
Absolutely. Beyond the vibrant atmosphere of Amsterdam, we had the chance to reconnect with good friends we hadn’t seen in years who came for the parties. Those moments brought back wonderful memories. We didn’t get to meet as many friends as we hoped due to the crowds, but the food and drinks in Amsterdam were fantastic, with plenty of great restaurants and breweries.
Did you gain any ideas or insights from the ADE panels that you’ll apply to your work?
Meeting many individuals who manage major artists and learning about the intricacies of their roles provided us with valuable insights that will undoubtedly enhance our work. The discussions around brand building and maintaining authenticity on social media were particularly motivating.
What was your main goal for attending ADE, and do you feel you achieved it?
Our primary goal was to connect with our team from MCPR agency, but we also aimed to forge new connections, partnerships, and gather ideas for the future. We wanted to stay updated on the latest trends in Electronic music production and technology. Reflecting on our experience, we can confidently say we achieved that! We met incredible people, gained loads of inspiration, and came away with practical insights we’re eager to incorporate into our music and live sets. It was a successful trip, and we’re already excited for next year.
What advice would you give to someone attending ADE for the first time next year?
Make sure to attend! It’s a must for everyone in the industry, from fans to emerging artists, labels, promoters, and agencies. ADE is a comprehensive festival that brings together everyone involved in Electronic Dance Music. Set clear goals for your visit, favorite the events you’re interested in, and don’t forget to follow the social media profiles of people you wish to connect with during the event; they’ll share their locations in Amsterdam.
Stefanno b2b Julianno’s first ADE experience showcases the event’s unique role as a pivotal convergence point for artists, industry professionals, and fans alike. For them, it was not solely about the music but also about building connections, acquiring fresh insights, and immersing themselves in the richness and vibrancy of Amsterdam’s Electronic music landscape. Their reflections underscore why ADE remains a vital destination for anyone passionate about the future of Electronic music.
