Sunwaves Festival Returns in 2025: Two Annual Events in Romania and Spain
Prepare for an extraordinary experience as the Sunwaves Festival makes its comeback to the Black Sea and the Mediterranean in 2025. Renowned for its minimalist approach, scenic beachside location, and continuous music, Sunwaves remains a highlight in the underground house music scene. The upcoming editions are set to enhance the festival’s celebrated charm.
The first festival will unfold in Mamaia Nord, Romania, from May 1–5. This spring gathering will see Sunwaves reconnect with its origins, uniting thousands of passionate attendees to dance along the Black Sea coast. Attendees can expect the hallmark blend of exceptional minimal and house artists, superior sound quality, and a focus solely on the music. Although the lineup is yet to be announced, the festival’s esteemed reputation guarantees a remarkable roster of performers.
For enthusiasts eager for more, the festivities will continue with a second edition later in the year, this time in Spain. Roquetas de Mar, Almería, will host Sunwaves from September 4–8. Following a successful Spanish debut in 2024, this Mediterranean edition will once again showcase the festival’s distinctive character at Las Salinas Beach, merging stunning coastal vistas with extended sets from top minimal and house music artists.
Whether you’re a returning attendee or new to the festival, Sunwaves offers a distinctive atmosphere that differentiates it from any other event.
