What a remarkable year it has been! The landscape of the EDM scene has continued to transform, influenced by the lingering effects of the pandemic, yet still bursting with energy and excitement. Despite challenges like rising ticket prices and festivals folding, the industry is thriving. Major acts like John Summit are pushing boundaries, while the biggest festivals expand into new markets, showing no signs of slowing down.
The evolution of our scene is undeniable, perhaps accelerating more rapidly than ever before. However, timeless elements remain constant: exceptional music continues to draw large crowds, and events that offer immersive experiences inspire creativity among fans, who remain as inventive and playful as ever.

Jared – Meeting Wenzday in Person
During the early pandemic, I came across Wenzday (Taylor Chung), and I was instantly captivated as my musical tastes expanded. When live shows resumed, I had the chance to interview her, but sadly, her NYC show was canceled due to COVID. We ended up connecting over email instead.
In 2024, Wenzday finally returned to NYC, and I attended the show, where I got to meet her in person. She graciously took the time to chat, making it a memorable experience on the dance floor. Taylor’s fun-loving nature made the day unforgettable!
Anx – Experiencing Brutalismus 3000 Live
My highlight was finally catching my favorite act, Brutalismus 3000, live. After a failed attempt to see them at Coachella, I was thrilled when they announced their first-ever LA show. It was the best night ever, even though it was a Monday and I had a 10-hour shift the next day!
