Catalyst ignites 2025 with an electrifying mix packed with heavy-hitting tracks for our hard dance series, Paradigm Shift.
Hailing from Australia, DJ and producer Catalyst has carved out his niche in the hard dance scene since 2017. Although he initially explored various genres, it was during the explosive raw trap and hard trap movement on SoundCloud that he discovered the harder styles. Influential artists of the time, such as WSHNGTN, DrewFilament, Vargo (now VRG), and SAYMYNAME, were pivotal in drawing him into this vibrant sound through their remarkable remixes.
As he delved deeper into the music, Catalyst discovered the original tracks behind these remixes and became enamored with artists like Regain, Malice, and Rooler. His passion solidified after experiencing a three-day hardstyle festival on his 18th birthday, where he recognized his true calling. Since then, he’s been dedicated to producing within the harder styles.
Over the years, Catalyst has captivated audiences with his powerful style, characterized by aggressive kicks and intense screeches. Despite his focus on hard dance, he hasn’t neglected his melodic influences, evident in his remix of “Bricked” by Superfresh and Milano The Don, as well as his bootleg of “Like A Slut” by Activator. With immense potential to emerge as one of Australia’s premier talents, Catalyst aims to take his sound further in 2025 and beyond.
“My goals for 2025 are to step back into the game and unleash the unique sound I’ve been crafting. A blend of the old and the new. I’m looking to get signed again and start performing! I’ve been working on so much without allowing everyone to enjoy it. I am also launching my bass music alias under the name arc//two — so keep an eye out for that!”

To kick off 2025, Catalyst made his debut on our hard dance mix series, Paradigm Shift! He delivers a high-energy, fiery mix that maintains an exhilarating pace for 30 minutes. Alongside his top tracks — including the “Rock Bottom” VIP and his edit of “Teknogym” by TNT — he treats fans to a wealth of unreleased music such as “Vendetta,” “Zombies,” “First Blood,” and more.
Additionally, Catalyst has crafted a special 2025 edit of his “Bring The Madness” bootleg, sure to delight his long-time followers. He also shines a spotlight on fellow Australian talents, featuring tracks from Decim8, Scutoid, Midnight-J, and others.
“Australia has some incredible artists that remain largely unknown to the rest of the world. MJU, Midnight-J, Scutoid, and Divyzion, with whom I recently released a track called “Gunshots.” I would love to see more Aussie artists gain recognition. On the global scene, I have a fondness for the older sound with its intensely aggressive, raw, and deep kicks. I admire what Regain is doing with his ‘Polish Punisher’ act. I hope that sound makes a comeback. Hardstyle is thriving right now, and it’s only getting better.”
