This strategic move marks a significant transition in Axwell’s career, as he has also stepped down from his role as label Director, as revealed by the UK-based platform Companies House, which provides public access to company reports.
Pophouse Entertainment is recognized for its exceptional roster in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene, boasting notable names such as Swedish House Mafia and Avicii. Axtone Records, founded by Axwell in 2005, gained fame in the mid to late 2000s with standout releases from acclaimed artists like Laidback Luke, Dirty South, and Chocolate Puma, among others.
The sale of Axtone Records signifies a new chapter for Axwell, allowing him to explore fresh opportunities in the music industry while Pophouse Entertainment continues to strengthen its influence in the EDM landscape.
