Ravenscoon Unveils New Era with Bass-Driven Album, Glass Orchid

Ravenscoon has emerged as a prominent figure in the bass music scene over the last five years. Gaining traction during the pandemic, he captivated audiences craving quality dubstep and electrifying performances, and has continued to evolve since. Recently, he released his much-anticipated album, Glass Orchid, following his debut album, Periphery, and extensive touring.

Glass Orchid is rooted in the creative journey that followed the release of his first album, which took a year and a half to produce. The accompanying tour drained much of his creative energy, prompting him to channel his experiences and emotions into the studio, resulting in the initial tracks for this latest project.

“This album signifies a transformation in my music—melding playful, energetic bangers with haunting, introspective wave tunes,” Ravenscoon expressed on Instagram. “It’s a yin and yang album that showcases my versatility as a producer and songwriter.” True to his word, the album features a diverse range of soundscapes across its 11 tracks, including nostalgic melodies with contemporary flair and vocal-centric tracks that invite reflection.

The explosive track “BANG” featuring Flozone kicks off Glass Orchid, setting the stage for the electrifying experience ahead. Other standout tracks like “DJJJJJJJJJJ,” “CHECKMATE,” “FUSE” featuring MLOTIK, and “BAD BOY” maintain the album’s heavy intensity with aggressive drops, eerie undertones, and intricate basslines.

In the heart of the album lie the two initial tracks, “GLASS ORCHID” featuring Kambii and “BLACK & BLUE” featuring Jessy Covets. Both tracks feature deep, distorted bass, with standout vocals that seamlessly blend into the surrounding soundscapes.

To conclude his sophomore album, Ravenscoon includes two remixes and a remaster. His remix of Dream Signal’s “Don’t You” and iSorin’sDark Winter” creates a haunting atmosphere that captivates listeners. The remastered version of “MIND” from 2024, with its warped elements and vocals, leaves fans on a euphoric note.
