Shortly after releasing three new editions of their iconic 1974 album Autobahn, Kraftwerk will perform seven newly added shows on the US West Coast.
Kraftwerk continues to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Autobahn. The legendary German electronic music group is set to re-release three new versions of the album in March. Following that, in April, they will add seven more performances to the already announced 25 shows as part of their Multimedia Tour 2025.
On February 14, Kraftwerk will unveil a seven-inch vinyl edit of the title track. This will be followed by the full album release on March 7, featuring three new formats: a unique 12-inch vinyl picture disc of the 2009 remaster, a Blu-ray edition, and a Dolby Atmos mix available on streaming platforms. The latter aims to enhance the listening experience of this groundbreaking recording, as described in their promotional materials.
In April, Kraftwerk will embark on their West Coast tour for seven additional dates not included in their initial Multimedia Tour 2025 announcement. Kicking off on April 4 at the Encore Theatre in Las Vegas, they will then perform at the Moore Theatre in Seattle on April 9. The quartet will grace the stage at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno on April 11 and at the Orpheum Theatre in Phoenix on April 14. They will conclude their West Coast tour at Coachella on April 13 and 20, with a performance at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on April 18.
Kraftwerk initially released Autobahn in November 1974, marking four years since Ralf Hütter and the late Florian Schneider formed the band. This album is noted for being their first transition from kosmische musik to electropop. Despite mixed reviews upon its release, it ultimately became an international sleeper hit.
