Movement Detroit is a highly anticipated festival cherished by house and techno enthusiasts for its exceptional mix of internationally renowned DJs and local talent. The festival is set to return to Hart Plaza from May 24-26, 2025, with a lineup that prominently features global superstars.
This year’s lineup showcases some of the most prominent names in house and techno music, including Sara Landry, a powerhouse in hard techno, alongside influential legend Carl Cox, tech house innovator John Summit, and trance and techno sensation Charlotte De Witte. Other noteworthy artists include Mau P, Nina Kraviz, Sammy Virji, Anfisa Letyago, and Hamdi, solidifying Movement Detroit’s reputation as a premier music event.
In addition to its star-studded roster, the festival emphasizes local talent, featuring iconic Detroit techno figures such as Stacey Hotwaxx Hale, Carl Craig, Mike Banks, and Stacey Pullen. Emerging artists like Huey Mnemonic, Jon Dixon, Rimarkable, and Wajeed will also take the stage, showcasing the city’s vibrant music scene.
While primarily focused on house and techno, Movement Detroit 2025 will also include hip-hop acts, exemplified by the presence of A$AP Mob co-founder FERG, ensuring a diverse musical offering that has become a hallmark of the festival.
The announcement also highlights various showcases attendees can look forward to, featuring Carl Craig’s Detroit Love, Kevin Saunderson‘s KMS Records, DJ Minx‘s House Your Life, and Underground Music Academy, the latter marking a first for the event.
