Hey Romain, thanks for joining us today. Can you tell us how your album, Éclat de Fête, came to life? What inspired this project, and why did you choose to release an album in today’s music landscape?

The album Éclat de Fête was born from a desire to encapsulate the raw emotion of celebration—the mix of euphoria and nostalgia that permeates a dancefloor. This idea emerged as I reflected on the magical moments of childhood, where every discovery felt like an adventure. The album cover features a photo of me at eight years old to emphasize this connection. In a time when electronic music is commonly consumed in singles or EPs, opting to release an album was a challenge but also a way to narrate a complete story with tracks that resonate and evolve together.

Are there any specific songs on the album that hold special significance for you?

Every track is significant in its own right, but certain songs resonate deeply with me. For instance, “Éclat de Fête” and “Horizons” embody the essence I aimed to express: the blend of party and emotion. Tracks like “Don’t Go” and “Effervescence” also hold special meaning, as they were inspired directly by the dancefloor experience. I crafted these tracks to encourage movement and provide listeners with a sense of release, powerful energy, and liberation.

With such a busy release schedule, how do you maintain your creative inspiration? Do you have any rituals or habits that keep you energized?

I draw inspiration from my personal experiences and the enriching moments spent with loved ones. I listen to a wide variety of music, allowing the emotions conveyed in certain tracks to fuel my creativity. Changing my environment and exploring new stories and sounds significantly enhances my artistic process. I approach life with passion, analyzing every experience, which in turn inspires the emotions I translate into music. Additionally, I find motivation in listening to sets from artists I admire and attending clubs and festivals.

In the studio, my approach is highly instinctive. I often begin by seeking emotion through the piano, developing a melody or atmosphere, then layering the drums—crafting sound textures that evoke strong emotions before building around them.

What does it mean to you to have your music supported by major artists like David Guetta and Meduza?

It’s incredibly rewarding to see my tracks being played by such renowned artists. It provides me with a significant boost of motivation and confirms that my music resonates beyond my usual audience. This support opens doors to new opportunities that I may not have encountered otherwise.

Your music is known for its melodic and emotional qualities. How do your personal experiences influence your tracks?

I believe every artist infuses their personal experiences into their music, whether intentionally or not. For me, music serves as an emotional language. The highs and lows of my life, whether joyful or introspective, shape my creative process. I strive to convey genuine emotions through my melodies and harmonies, ensuring that listeners feel something profound when they experience my tracks.

What is your vision for the future of RITMIN RECORDS? Are there particular artists, genres, or sounds you’re excited to explore?

RITMIN RECORDS aims to deliver electronic music rich in emotion and storytelling. I want to delve into sounds that blend the energetic pulse of the dancefloor with a more organic and introspective quality. I’m also keen to spotlight emerging artists who share this musical vision, exploring hybrid influences that traverse melodic house, techno, and other styles.

I already have a small team of artists in my network who have contributed remixes to Éclat de Fête. I’ve invited them to perform at our release parties, and I plan to organize eight more similar events featuring artists from the album.

How has the French electronic scene evolved since you started Techno Dayz in 2018?

The French electronic music landscape has undergone significant transformation in recent years. There’s been a notable increase in emerging artists and a broader acceptance of diverse styles. Clubs and festivals are taking greater artistic risks, which is a positive development. Through Techno Dayz, we’ve fostered a strong community, and the enthusiastic response to our events illustrates that audiences are craving authentic musical experiences.

We’re gearing up for our largest event yet on Saturday, March 1, at the Dock des Suds in Marseille, featuring international artists GOOM GUM for a unique 360-degree project.

What’s next for Rohm? Are there any future collaborations or releases you’re particularly excited about?

There are many exciting developments on the horizon! I’m currently collaborating with artists from RITMIN RECORDS and others, with several tracks ready for release over the coming months. I’m eager to experiment with new sound textures and push the boundaries of my musical style.

Are there any upcoming shows you’re particularly looking forward to, especially with summer approaching?

Absolutely! Several pivotal dates are on the calendar, including Saturday, March 1, at the Dock des Suds in Marseille, which expects around 2,000 attendees. I’ll also be performing at the Delta Festival on Saturday, August 30, on the 360 stage by the beach, and alongside Tomorrowland Winter 2025 at L’aloès D’huez.

Of course, the album release party at the Salle du Grès in Martigues on January 31 was an unforgettable occasion, allowing us to perform the album in its entirety with the contributing artists. Following this, I have a series of festival and club dates lined up that I’m excited to announce, plus eight events in cultural and historic venues with RITMIN.
