Marshmello’s Home Burglary: Safe Stolen from EDM Star’s Residence

Marshmello, the acclaimed EDM DJ and producer, recently became a victim of a shocking burglary. The artist, whose real name is Christopher Comstock, discovered that thieves broke into his Los Angeles home on Tuesday, February 25, and absconded with a safe.

As reported by TMZ, Comstock’s security team arrived at his residence the following Thursday and found evidence of a break-in. They reviewed footage from his home security system to determine the timing of the incident.

The Los Angeles Police Department has taken a burglary report and requested Comstock to detail the contents of the safe, including estimating the value of each item inside.

This is not the first instance of theft for Comstock; in 2020, his $500,000 Hennessey Ford VelociRaptor truck was stolen from a dealership. The police later apprehended the thief after a high-speed chase, successfully returning the vehicle to Comstock.

Recently, Comstock has also faced negative publicity related to a COVID relief grant he received in 2021. An investigation by Business Insider revealed that his grant of $9.9 million was the largest awarded to any US musician.

High-profile artists often experience various privacy violations, a trend that has persisted over the years. For example, last year, fellow EDM producer Zedd had to file a restraining order against a fan who exhibited erratic behavior at his home in Encino, California.

Marshmello’s team is actively cooperating with law enforcement in hopes of expediting the investigation and recovering the stolen items.
