Create Music Group Acquires deadmau5 and mau5trap Catalogs, Launches Joint Venture for Future Projects

Over the last 25 years, the electronic music landscape has witnessed the rise of numerous legendary artists, with deadmau5 standing out as a pivotal figure. His influential presence and the success of his record label, mau5trap, have significantly shaped genres such as electro house, dubstep, and beyond. In a groundbreaking development, Create Music Group (CMG) has announced the acquisition of both deadmau5 and mau5trap’s extensive music catalogs.

Valued at over $55 million, this deal allows Create Music Group to take ownership of sound recordings and copyrights for more than 4,000 tracks produced by deadmau5 and mau5trap artists. This includes notable works from artists such as Feed Me, i_o, REZZ, Skrillex, and others who have contributed to the label over the years. Furthermore, this acquisition marks the establishment of a joint venture between Create Music Group, deadmau5, and mau5trap for upcoming recordings.
