Oliver Smith, a staple of Anjunabeats, has exciting news for fans—his debut artist album is finally arriving this May!
Throughout two decades, the Anjunabeats label has seen numerous artists come and go, yet few have remained as enduring as Oliver Smith. A long-time collaborator of Above & Beyond, he was the inaugural artist signed to Anjunabeats, and his euphoric sound has been integral in shaping the label’s identity. While Oliver has consistently participated in the label’s annual compilations and showcased his talent globally, one crucial element had been absent: a dedicated artist album.
This year, as Anjunabeats commemorates its 25th anniversary, Oliver Smith will release Footprints, his much-anticipated debut album on the label. Set to drop in May, the album will include 12 tracks filled with uplifting trance and progressive melodies designed to resonate emotionally and energize listeners. “The music reflects my love for melody and groove, carrying an overall sense of hope and positivity,” he stated. “I carefully crafted each track to ensure it brought something unique and truly earned its spot on the album.”
I’ve been releasing music for years, but my own album always took a backseat. When I finally started the project I had so many ideas and was unsure where to begin. I decided to embrace the process and let the destination reveal itself. This inspired ‘Footprints’, the title for the album, as even the tracks that didn’t make it left an imprint, and were a necessary part of the journey.

Oliver Smith elaborated on the album’s concept, expressing his desire to transcend typical club music and convey authentic stories. This ambition led him to collaborate with talented singer-songwriters such as MØØNE, FARLEY, Diana Miro, Susie Ledge, and Benjamin Roustaing, who will feature on three tracks. “Many of the songs were written together in the studio,” he shared. “It was an incredible experience to work with such skilled musicians and bring these ideas to life.”
Fans eager for a preview can already enjoy the first single of the year, “Rely On Me” featuring Tailor, released in January. Today, he unveiled another new single from Footprints, titled “Breathe.” This track features collaboration with Midnite Amity, known for previous work with artists like Julian Gray and ASHE. The blend of Oliver Smith’s exquisite melodies with Midnite Amity’s tranquil vocals creates a harmonious synergy, indicating more exceptional music awaits on the album.
