Insomniac and ICON Collective Join Forces for 2025 Discovery Project Competitions to Empower Emerging Artists

While Insomniac is widely recognized for hosting some of the largest music festivals globally, their impact extends beyond these events through their various labels and initiatives. One such initiative is the Discovery Project, which organizes competitions for up-and-coming artists prior to festivals, offering winners the chance to perform, among other rewards. Recently, Insomniac has enhanced the program’s benefits by partnering with ICON Collective.

This innovative collaboration will provide Discovery Project winners with a unique academic sponsorship for ICON Collective’s Advanced Music Production Program. The announcement of this partnership was first hinted at during the EDC Las Vegas lineup reveal themed “music through music,” and the Discovery Project contest for the upcoming festival will mark the beginning of this year-long collaboration between these two influential Southern California brands.

The EDC Las Vegas 2025 Discovery Project competition is open for submissions until Wednesday, April 2. The beloved duo and ICON Collective alumni SLANDER will serve on the judging panel alongside Insomniac Music Group, providing valuable insights and expertise in selecting the winner.

The fortunate winner of this year’s EDC Las Vegas competition will gain access to a comprehensive experience at ICON Collective. This includes advanced training in their state-of-the-art facilities, one-on-one mentorship from expert instructors, additional learning support during office hours, insights from industry leaders and artists, networking opportunities, and much more.

The partnership between Insomniac and ICON Collective will extend past EDCLV. Throughout 2025, the school will act as the official academic sponsor for 14 additional Discovery Project competitions, with winners receiving an exclusive ten-week mentorship designed for their artistic growth, as well as access to ELEVATE, ICON Collective’s online music production program.
